Before starting a shift, the headset must be paired with the Nexeo Base Station.
Ready to learn how to pair your NEXEO | HDX All-in-One headset? Let’s get started.
The NEXEO Base Station uses near field technology to sense your headset’s presence.
Ensure you have a fully charged battery in your headset before starting the pairing process.
First, turn on your headset by pressing the blue button.
Next, locate the pairing area on the All-in-One headset between the volume up and down buttons.
On the base station, the Pairing Ring is located on the bottom right corner.
Please note, when idle, the sensor will be illuminated with a solid blue ring.
Bring the headset pairing area to the Pairing Ring. The solid blue ring will turn into a swirling green ring indicating that the pairing is in process.
Pairing is completed and successful when the swirling green ring turns solid green.
Please note, the base station will alert you if the headset battery is running low.
Also, once the headset is paired, ensure you hold the headset by the outer edge to avoid unintentionally tapping the interface.
If pairing fails, the ring will turn red. Try again by holding the headset steadily, centered and flush against the Pairing Ring. Headset movement and distance may cause pairing errors.
Once the headset is paired, the “Select your position” screen will be displayed on the NEXEO Base Station .
Next, select the position your manager has assigned to you.
Drive-Thru 1 will allow you to hear the Drive Thru communication for lane 1. If your store has 2 lanes, Drive-Thru 2 will allow you to hear Drive Thru communication for lane 2.
In the Crew position, you may communicate with everyone who is in the Crew group, as well as team members in the Drive-Thru groups. The Crew position, however, will not hear the drive-thru orders.
If your duties, such as kitchen or beverage station require you to hear the customer in the drive-thru, you must select a Drive-Thru communications group.
The Front Counter position is an independent group. You will only communicate with and hear reminders and alerts for the Front Counter group.
Please note, if you select the Crew or Front Counter positions, the success confirmation screen will immediately display, and your headset will be ready to use.
In this example we will select Drive-Thru 1.
For more information about any of the options on the screen, touch the information or “I” button.
Auto Hands Free is a mode that allows an order taker freedom from having to press the lane button on their headset when a car arrives at the menu.
Instead, when a car arrives at the menu, the headset will automatically presses activate the lane button, allowing the order taker to keep their hands free to perform other activities.
Once the customer completes their order and drives away from the Menu, the headset will automatically disconnect the lane button until the next car arrives.
Please note, only one headset per lane and a maximum of two headsets per store can operate in Auto Hands Free Mode, one headset for Lane 1 and another headset for Lane 2.
In the bottom left corner, the Paired Headset Icon and the percentage of battery remaining will display.
The version of the Headset and serial number also display.
Then, if your restaurant store uses the Auto Hands Free mode, TAP the checkbox to enable it.
Tap the Next button.
The Success Pairing confirmation will display.
Once you have paired your headset, easily adjust the headband by sliding it in and out of the headband cover attached to the headrest.
Your headset is now ready to go!
